Who runs it

For more than 25 years, Jon Conroy ran a window cleaning company down in the Lansing area. When he retired and moved up to Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula, he figured his window-cleaning days were behind him.
His sons had other plans. Oliver, 19, and Emerson, 18, decided to start their own window cleaning company, and they went straight to their dad for help. What began as a father lending a hand became a partnership. Today Jon, Oliver, and Emerson run Colonel Zips together.
That is decades of hands-on experience, two sons raised to do a job right, and one rule on every property: treat it like it belongs to family.
